About The Workshop

This six-day documentary storytelling workshop invited unaccompanied minors seeking refuge from Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq and Syria to tell their story using photography, video, audio recording and drawing.

The students learned artistic and technical principals before creating their own media. Then the students designed how their story would be put together, and most used iMovie to edit. An end-of-workshop screening honored their work.

The workshop was taught by World Story Exchange instructors in collaboration with International Rescue Committee, MOSAIK and Art Lab.
